Emergency Care

The Emergency Room staff at Choctaw Memorial Hospital stand ready to serve the community 24 hours a day. Oftentimes, the staff in this department are the first point of contact for individuals and families who may be suffering from life-threatening and very precarious circumstances. For this reason, the Emergency Care staff at CMH are dedicated at promptly administering vital care to the patients they serve, which includes giving the emotional support and empathy needed for the patients’ families. Providing immediate care in a prompt, courteous, and empathetic manner is what staff here in the Emergency Room are consistently aware of, and they will always strive to improve and maintain the professional relationships they share with the individuals they serve. The hospital has a three-bed ER, including two acute care rooms and one trauma room for treatment of severe cases. They also have a 24-hour lab and X-ray including a diagnostic CT scan. Staff stay current on the latest protocols for trauma treatment. Choctaw Memorial Hospital is a member of the RTAB (Rural Trauma Advisory Board), which is administered by the Oklahoma State Health Department.
